Skills that you can learn from online classes

As a result of this Pandemic, all the operations are going online. Online classes are adopted by almost all schools and institutions. But since it’s a whole new experiment in the education sector, most parents hesitate as it’s good for their child or not. Learning online can be very beneficial if taken in a good way. It helps the child to gain a whole different experience which he can’t acquire in a normal class. Taking classes online can be beneficial in many ways some of them are stated below.

Good Communication Skills

In online classes, the student has to face the teacher face to face which is not possible in a class of 50 students. Inside a classroom, a student can learn about topics, syllabus, and ethics but sitting on a bench the whole day can’t boost his confidence. In an online class a teacher can put his attention on every child, so does the students have to do it. This will lead to a direct interaction between both which can boost the confidence of the child for having a conversation, clearing doubts, and good communication skills. This can turn into a habit which will also help in his future. A student can do wonders academically, but acquiring good communication skills is the first impression and the first impression is the last impression.

Self Confidence

Online classes can result in high self-confidence as it’s a direct interaction between the student and the teacher. A student can be ignored in a class while sitting 50 meters apart but you have to face it when the teacher is just 30 km away from you. Ever wondered why class toppers have good self-confidence and backbenchers lack in it? The reason is that they are easily identified by the teacher so he puts more concern on them, asks more questions, and this regular interaction and good results boost their confidence. In an online lecture, every student is at the same level of distance so the teacher can put equal amounts of effort for each student resulting in boosted self-confidence.

Building a Character

When you’re sitting with friends chatting, cracking jokes, etc., You can’t discover yourself. Most people think about themselves, their present, future, good and bad habits while they’re alone. In a classroom where you sit with your friends, you can’t acquire the social traits, ethics, and positivity from the environment and the teacher. In online classes, your only focus is on the teacher, no distractions, and no friends. So you can think more about your skills, how good are you in social conversations, etc. You can change your habits and can build a good character!

Reduction in Hesitation

Due to low confidence, most of the students hesitate while asking questions or clearing doubts. Most of the time the odds are that they didn’t get what was taught, but never put a question on asking just to avoid speaking in front of the whole class. This fear can be due to not doing something like this ever or some bad experiences. This can be reduced if teaching online. The student feels like he’s talking to the teacher in person. Also as there’s no one around him, it boosts his confidence and if he’s successful in doing so, it will increase his confidence and can put more effort into further interactions.

Social Anxiety

Social Anxiety is the fear of having social interactions. This fear might be of getting judged by the people or having a conversation or anything! In social anxiety a person completely avoids interaction. Better if discovered in childhood and solved or it can directly affect a child’s future and growth. Social Anxiety in the classroom is the fear of speaking out, participating in activities, stage fear, etc. This can be solved only by experience. But you can’t drive a truck if you don’t even know how to drive a two-wheeler. So these little steps of interacting online, video conference, and responding to teachers work as a ladder which will ultimately help in climbing the wall of social anxiety.

There are numerous more benefits of having classes online but some can be realized through experience only. At Least it’s better than being active on social media the whole day!
